I use AI agents built on Claude and ChatGPT every day. Not for code.
Three things they do for me:
1. Meetings. A recording transcript becomes minutes: decisions and open questions. A glossary keeps names and terms right.
2. Google Sheets. The agent builds and edits the spreadsheet itself: a forecast built on drivers, scenario tables, a reconciliation of two systems that should match and don't. One question I asked it: "Am I lying to myself?"
3. Company data. Our internal ERP, the accounting system, team chats. The agent pulls them together and checks my assumptions against the numbers before I bring them to a meeting.
The agent does not decide. It does not send anything on my behalf. It prepares, I judge.
I believe most managers use AI as a chat window. They don't realize an AI agent can work directly in their Google Sheets.
