This is a personal site. I want to know which pages people read, and nothing more.
Google Analytics, only if you accept
When you first open the site, a bar at the bottom asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you click Accept, nothing is sent to Google. If you accept, Google Analytics records the pages you open, how you arrived (for example from a LinkedIn post), your approximate location (country and city), and your device and browser. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_HR59YZF3S5.
Google processes this data for me under its data processing terms. I see only aggregated reports, not who you are. Google keeps this data for two months.
Server logs
Like every web server, mine records each request: IP address, page, time and browser. I use these records only to keep the site running and secure and to count visits, and they are deleted after 90 days. Monthly totals per page and per source, without IP addresses, may be kept longer.

What I don't do
No advertising, no tracking across other sites, no selling or sharing of data.
